The conference will highlight innovations in GME in California such as teaching and assessment of the competencies needed for the 21st century physician; interprofessional care; development of new training sites and new collaborations; development and maintenance of a diverse workforce; creation of new and more efficient training models; the use of innovative technology in GME; and creation of high quality inpatient and ambulatory learning environments designed to provide patient-centered, high-value care.
