Funding for a book on the history and present status of residency training in the US. The purpose of this book is to produce an interpretative, contextualized account of the evolution of graduate medical education in this country that might serve as the definitive historical treatment of the subject, and to produce a book of education merit that might help inspire and shape efforts to improve residency training.
